Museum-diorama "Pyliavtsi Battle"

Museum / gallery

The museum-diorama "Pyliavtsi Battle" was opened in the town of Stara Syniava in the premises of the Palace of Culture in 1995 to mark the 500th anniversary of the birth of Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytsky.

The authors of the museum exposition were Serhii Yesiunin, a scientist from the Khmelnytsky Regional Museum of Local Lore, and artist Yakiv Pavlovych. The diorama was created by artists Leonid Besarab and Andrii Isaiev.

In addition to the diorama of the victorious battle of the Ukrainian Cossack army led by Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytsky against the troops of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth near Pyliavtsi (the former name of the current village of Pyliava), the museum exposition also presents Cossack banners and kleynods, horse harness, various types of weapons, clay vessels from different times, household items and old household implements.
