The Moryntsi Ethnographic Museum "Chumatska Khata" (Chumak House) was founded in 1964 on the initiative of the Honored Artist of Ukraine Ivan Honchar on the basis of an old village house in Moryntsi. It is located on the territory of the National Reserve "Taras Shevchenko's Homeland".
This hut once belonged to the Chumak Mefodii Tiutiunnyk, who, according to the inventory certificate of 1845, was engaged in "chumak business and carriage of burdens for hire". Many memories and legends have survived about Chumaks and chumak business in the village.
The Chumak House Museum has gathered under its roof samples of Chumak tools, folk art, clothing, and household items from the first half of the 19th century. Currently, the exhibition is being looked after by enthusiasts.
In 2013-2014, the house was restored.

Monument
A monument to the kobzar was erected near the House of Culture in the center of the village Moryntsi in 1964, to the 150th anniversary of the birth of the poet Taras Shevchenko, who was born in this village.
The bronze sculpture of a kobzar with a bandura in his hands conveys a generalized image of a wandering singer and musician, a keeper of Ukrainian folk traditions, who gave the name to the first book-collection of poetic works of Taras Shevchenko and became his folk name.
The author dedicated the work to Taras Shevchenko's poem-address "To Osnovianenko".

Moryntsi Museum Complex is a reconstructed rural estate in the village of Moryntsi, restored to its original form on the site where the future Kobzar was born in 1814. It is part of the National Reserve "Taras Shevchenko Homeland".
Taras's parents - Hryhorii Shevchenko and Kateryna Boiko - lived for several years in an empty hut of a peasant exiled to hard labor, Kopii, next to the house of Yakym Boiko, grandfather of the newborn Taras. Both huts were restored according to the drawings and detailed description of Shevchenko scholar Oleksandr Konysky in 1989, with careful observance of technology and all the features of folk architecture characteristic of this area. An original wooden barn was moved from neighboring Kerelivka (Shevchenkove) to the courtyard.
The interiors of the residential buildings recreate the modest life of the Shevchenko family. Behind the houses there is a wonderful view of the ravine planted with an orchard. A monument to Kateryna Boyko with little Taras in her arms has been erected. A chapel has been built nearby.
