A modern educational space on the territory of the capital's expo center was created to help schoolchildren overcome educational losses, popularize STEM and make mathematics accessible to everyone.

The Kuboid Mathematics Museum has begun work on the territory of the National Complex "Expocenter of Ukraine" (VDNG) in Kyiv. Its exposition features almost 120 interactive exhibits, the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine reports.

"Here you can not only see, but also feel how formulas turn into reality. Mathematics is exciting games, logical tasks and limitless opportunities for discoveries," the message says.

The ministry emphasized that the Kuboid Museum is the fourth of its kind in Europe and the first in Ukraine.

"The Museum of Mathematics should become one of the important centers of STEM education. For science teachers, it is a space where they can exchange experiences and improve their skills. For students, it is a place where, through interactive exhibits, they can develop logical thinking, overcome educational losses, and study mathematics for life," the press service quotes the words of the Minister of Education, Oksen Lisovoyi.

The museum features eight fascinating zones, each of which allows you to immerse yourself in the world of mathematics through interactive exhibits: "Mathematics and Everyday Life", "Tesseract", "Pendulums and Measurements", "Geometry and Mechanisms", "Shapes and Formulas", "Space for Creativity", "Space for Cleverness", "Halls for Classes".

According to the authors of the project, the museum will be especially useful for schoolchildren, who will be able to practically understand complex mathematical concepts, fill in gaps in knowledge, as well as develop critical thinking, logic and spatial imagination. And for teachers, Kuboid will open up new opportunities for professional development - training courses, trainings, modern interactive methods. In specially equipped halls, teachers can conduct lessons, master classes and workshops for classes or groups.

The cost of an individual ticket for visitors over three years old who do not belong to preferential categories is 400 hryvnias. For organized groups of schoolchildren in the amount of 10 people - 320 hryvnias. The museum can be visited free of charge by: children under 3 years old, orphans, children of combatants, combatants, children whose parents died during hostilities, people with disabilities of groups 1 and 2.

У міністерстві наголосили, що музей "Кубоїд" – четвертий подібний у Європі й перший в Україні.

"Музей математики має стати одним із важливих осередків STEM-освіти. Для вчителів природничих дисциплін – це простір, де можна обмінюватися досвідом і вдосконалювати свої навички. Для учнів – місце, де через інтерактивні експонати можна розвивати логічне мислення, долати освітні втрати та вивчати математику для життя", – цитує пресслужба слова міністра освіти Оксена Лісового.

У музеї представлено вісім захопливих зон, кожна з яких дає змогу зануритися у світ математики через інтерактивні експонати: "Математика і повсякдення", "Тесеракт", "Маятники та вимірювання", "Геометрія та механізми", "Форми і формули", "Простір креативності", "Простір кмітливості", "Зали для занять".

На думку авторів проєкту, особливо корисним музей буде для школярів, які зможуть тут на практиці зрозуміти складні математичні поняття, заповнити прогалини у знаннях, а також розвивати критичне мислення, логіку та просторову уяву. А для вчителів "Кубоїд" відкриє нові можливості професійного розвитку – навчальні курси, тренінги, сучасні інтерактивні методики. У спеціально облаштованих залах педагоги можуть проводити уроки, майстер-класи та воркшопи для класів або груп.

Вартість індивідуального квитка для відвідувачів старше трьох років, які не належать до пільгових категорій, становить 400 гривень. Для організованих груп школярів у кількості від 10 осіб – 320 гривень. Безкоштовно музей можуть відвідати: діти до 3 років, діти-сироти, діти учасників бойових дій, учасники бойових дій, діти, чиї батьки загинули в ході воєнних дій, люди з інвалідністю 1 та 2 групи.
